CHICAGO-- To help give Illinoisans a look into the state’s budget, four organizations have created an interactive website that allows users to view Illinois’ budget as well as create their own.
“When we were developing this idea, we were also thinking about how we can use this in our classroom,” Peter Creticos, president of the Institute for Work and the Economy said. “Another driver (was) to encourage the use by the General Assembly.”
The other organizations that worked on this are Center for Tax and Budget Accountability, Crain’s Chicago Business, and The Kineo Group.
The website is free, but users must sign up with an e-mail address.
