Consolidated Election Information for Macon County Clerk Steve Bean



MACON COUNTY EARLY VOTING, ABSENTEE VOTING, AND GRACE PERIOD LOCATION
CONSOLIDATED ELECTION APRIL 9, 2013
All Grace Period, Absentee Voting, and Early Voting will take place at the Macon County Clerk’s Office,
141 S. Main Street, Room 119, Decatur, Illinois.
Last day of Regular Voter Registration is March 12th.
Grace Period allows an individual who miss the voter registration deadline to register to vote or change their name or address in the County Clerk’s Office at that time the individual must cast their ballot.
Grace Period Voting Period runs from March 13 to April 6.
No Excuse Absentee Voting begins February 28th.
A voter no longer has to state a reason or excuse to request an absentee ballot.
Voting times:
February 28 and March 1 8:30am to 4:30pm
March 4-8 8:30am to 4:30pm
March 11-15 8:30am to 4:30pm
March 18-22 8:30am to 4:30pm
Early Voting Period Begins (Voter must show ID)
March 25-29 including Good Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm
Saturday March 30 9am to Noon
Easter Sunday March 31 9am to Noon
April 1-5 8:30am to 4:30pm
Saturday April 6 (last day of both Grace Period Voter Registration and Voting and Early Voting) 9am to 3pm
April 8 (Last day of “no excuse” absentee voting) 8:30 to 5pm
April 9 Election Day Polls are open 6am to 7pm
