School Board to hold open forum to discuss Brush College School



DECATUR-- Prior to their School Board meeting tonight, the board will hold a public forum regarding the closure of Brush College School. 
 
Superintendent Gloria Davis says she encourages any and all people with questions or concerns to attend the forum. 
 
The meeting will also offer the chance to discuss the long term plans of the district in regards to re-theming Hope Academy as well as plans for thematic concepts at all the elementary schools.  
 
Also on the docket, several DPS middle school students will be recognized for their outstanding artwork at the school board meeting tonight for their work in the 15th Annual Art Award Ceremony held last month.  The 16 students’ artwork was on display from January 4th through the 29th in the Madden Arts Center. 
 
The forum will begin at 6 p.m. at the Keil building at 101 W. Cerro Gordo St.  The regularly scheduled school board meeting will immediately follow.
 
An additional meeting to discuss the districts future building plans will also be held on February 28th at 6:30 p.m. at Enterprise Elementary, located at 2115 S. Taylor Road.
