Rodney Davis: It's been an exciting week, but it's time to get to work

DECATUR-- Unlike his statewide counterparts, Congressman Rodney Davis has already had a week on the job.

Speaking in front of a packed house during the Chamber of Commerce breakfast, Davis shared his ideas for the next two years.

“The last congress was ineffective at passing some long-term bills.  One of them was the farm bill, another was transportation reauthorization.  They also punted on Hurricane Sandy relief, and that’s something that should have gotten done.” Davis said.  “I’m looking forward to getting on the field and tackling those tough issues.”

Davis continued to stress the importance of bi-partisan decision making as the only way to get things done.

Davis and local campaign leader Helen Albert also confirmed that he had secured a Decatur office at 243 S. Water Street, and it is set to open up on February 1st.
