DECATUR-- Even organizations that devote themselves to helping people in their time of need have some needs of their own sometimes. The Good Samaritan Inn is one of those organizations.
Every Christmas they put out their “wish list” and ask for donations. Sometimes its items for volunteers, like aprons or plastic totes, other times its canned food or monetary donations.

“I have never been in a community that has been as generous or as caring as Decatur. We run 99% on donations and I think that says a lot about the community and their feelings towards those who are less fortunate.”
