DECATUR-- Three local Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) sites are partnering to hold a Medicare enrollment event November 28, 2012.
SHIP counselors from the involved sites will be available for registrants needing counseling about and assistance with enrolling in Medicare prescription drug and managed care plans and are offered by appointment only.
Partnering SHIP sites include CHELP, the Macon County Senior Center, and Starting Point at the Macon County Health Department.

When: Wednesday, November 28, 2012, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Where: Macon County Health Department (MCHD) Main Conference Room
How: Call ahead to make an appointment. Upon arrival, check in at the Starting Point
front desk inside the MCHD’s left set of doors
Interested clients should call Starting Point at the Macon County Health Department at (217) 423-6550 to schedule an appointment. After scheduling an appointment, participants will receive a confirmation letter regarding information that should be brought to the appointment.
Participants should arrive 15 minutes before their appointment time to complete registration information.
