DECATUR-- Back from Washington for a sort of Thanksgiving break; 13th District Congressman Rodney Davis says after spending a week in the Capital it has finally set in that he will be representing the state of Illinois on a national level.
After a long 6 months leading up to November the 6th, ultimately culminating in a victory, Davis says he took a few things away from the campaign trail…
“I’ve learned that we can disagree with folks on a vision for our country, but we don’t need to be disagreeable. I am looking forward with working for my former opponents and getting their input on how we can move our country forward.”
After the holiday he will be headed back to Washington for a second week of orientation.
Davis says once he returns to Washington he will begin putting his cabinet together and figuring out where he will be having an office back in Illinois.
