The tournament hosts several of central Illinois' best high school basketball teams and pits them against one another in this early season tournament.
In addition to local schools MacArthur and Eisenhower, Peoria Central, East. St. Louis, Springfield Lanphier, Harvey-Thornton, Pekin, and Springfield Southeast will be participating this year.
ESPN 1050’s Aric Lee says The Decatur Turkey Tournament is one of the premiere tournaments in the state.
"It’s become standard for eventual IHSA State Champions to tip off their season in Decatur."
The tournament begins on Tuesday Nov. 20th at 6 p.m. with Peoria Central taking on Eisenhower and continues through the weekend of the 23rd-24th.
