Quinn outlines plans for state budget



CHICAGO-- Governor Quinn acknowledged that the State’s finances aren’t exactly in the best shape. 

A report late last week by the State Budget Crisis Task Force showed that among other problems, the state’s pensions were the worst funded in the nation and the state could be facing a $13 billion budget deficit in 2013. 

Quinn says he plans to address those issues ASAP…



Illinois is currently mired in a $3 billion deficit.  Quinn says the reports focused heavily on the state’s need to reduce expenses on programs that are not a high priority, a move he seconds.
