DECATUR-- After dedicating so much of her time to the city of Decatur, the city decided to give back to Shirley Stanley. As president of the Decatur-Macon County Animal Shelter, Shirley, and her husband Paul spend their time taking care of the various pets around Macon County; and now, as winners of the first Pro Shot Challenge downtown Decatur, they will get to take a break in South Carolina. By having the closest ball to the designated pin the Stanley’s; along with 4 others will get a chance to do some golfing in Hilton Head Island. The Pro Shot Challenge took place Saturday evening, in between rain showers and raised over $10,000 for the United Way as well as the Symetra Tour tournament that takes place in Decatur every summer.
