Illinois receives funds to secure unemployment benefit system

Rivara says they plan to start up various programs that cross check the names of individuals who are incarcerated and recently hired within the state, with people who are collecting unemployment benefits. The grant from the U.S. Department of Labor totals over $2.7 million.
