DECATUR-- The 2nd annual HIP Parade and Rally marched through Decatur on Saturday afternoon. The event was put on in support of having involved parents through all levels of their child’s education. For the second time in as many years, DPS 61 encouraged parents to become involved with not only their child’s school work but also the district as a whole. Over 1200 students, parents, school faculty members, and various organizations gathered around the center of downtown Decatur. There were informational booths as well as interactive events for children to enjoy.
