October officially designated as Breast cancer Awareness Month in Illinois



DECATUR-- October has been officially designated as Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Illinois and state public health officials are urging women to get an annual mammogram.  Public Health Spokeswoman Sabrina Miller says that all women over the age of 40 should have a mammogram done each year…



Locally, St. Mary’s hospital has been hosting the Real Men Wear Pink Campaign in order to raise awareness.  The campaign has partnered up with area high school football teams… each week a different team will wear pink garments on the field, and encourage their fans to wear pink as well, this week it is Mount Zion when they take on Jersey.
