Uneven districting has some political candidates calling for change

DECATUR-- In light of the redistricting within the state of Illinois a couple state representatives are running for office in unfamiliar territory.  Adam Brown is one and Chapin Rose is the other.  Rose says he is disappointed in the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to not look at remapping some of the districts and he thinks there are better ways…

Districts are redrawn ever 10 years.  Rose says since his new 51st district runs from alongside Indiana all the way down to Warrensburg it is difficult for representatives to properly represent such a wide range of people.  He says his district gained 6 new counties and now spans 10 counties overall.
