Dust Run offered runners a chance to get dirty for a good cause

DECATUR-- Aptly rebranded as the DUST Run due to the drought this summer, the event formerly known as the MUDD Run still managed to get nearly 300 people out to Fairview Park for some exercise and to support Junior Achievement of East Central Illinois.  The second annual event got some help from Mother Nature this week with some rain and participants still got plenty dirty.  Jill Applebee, with Junior Achievement says they couldn’t have asked for better conditions on a beautiful Saturday afternoon…

Junior Achievement teaches children financial and work preparedness.  In addition to the 5k course, there was also a half mile Lil Muddy youth event and an after party in celebration of all the participants who finished.
