DECATUR - A 7-time felon is likely heading back to prison after participating in a vicious beating on Decatur’s north side earlier this month. 

41-year old Kelly Hunter is facing two charges of felony aggravated battery and one count theft after joining a group in beating and stomping on a man riding his bicycle.  The victim required emergency surgery at DMH for facial injuries. 

Hunter was tracked down soon after the incident, and remains in the Macon County Jail on $30,000 bond.  His crimes are punishable by 3 to 8 years in prison.
