Mt. Zion business owner proves 'anything is possible' with lotto win

MT. ZION-- The Illinois Lottery uses the slogan, “Anything is Possible” hoping that participants will buy into it and grab up a ticket.  Local business owner, Regina Rhodes did just that at the Decatur Celebration, submitting a 25 second long video saying why she believed anything was possible.  A few weeks after the celebration concluded, Regina received a phone call from the lotto explaining that she had been randomly selected as a $25,000 winner.  Rhodes says she already has a plan for her winnings…

Rhodes received a $25,000 ceremonial check from Lottery officials today at the Decatur Celebration office.  She was joined at the celebration by her husband of 19 years, Doug, who works as a medical emergency helicopter pilot.  Son Cody attended as well, and took some of the credit for his mom’s Lottery windfall.

Rhodes has been running Next of Kiln, an art studio in Mt. Zion, for 6 years.  Her video was chosen out of 6,900 throughout Illinois.
