DECATUR - With the release of the Steven Spielberg directed Lincoln just 2 months away, historians have already started scoping out the movie for factual fallacies.
To his own knowledge, Decatur’s resident Lincoln Expert and Executive Director of the Macon County Historical Society and Museum, Pat McDaniel doesn’t think Lincoln’s home as a young boy will be mentioned in the film, much to our own fault…
McDaniel says that in recent years Decatur has begun to recognize and promote Lincoln more. Decatur has 15 Lincoln statues and monuments scattered throughout its downtown.
The movie is set for release on November 16th.
