Rome wasn’t built in a day, and awards aren’t won either. Tate & Lyle was awarded General Electric’s Return on Environment award for their efforts in improving environmentally safe operations. Tate & Lyle will reportedly save 21 million gallons of water each year by adopting water conservation tactics. In order to strengthen their efforts in water management Tate & Lyle have begun recycling water throughout their production processes, evaluating non-production process water usages and developing new monitoring practices to help pinpoint water usage.
