City of Decatur crews will be working at the intersection of Monroe Street, MacArthur Road and Pershing Road, repairing water valve, beginning Tuesday, November 12, 2013, weather permitting. This work will cause theintersection of Monroe Street, MacArthur Road and Pershing Road to be reduced to one lane in all directions AND the closure of the left turn lanes at the intersection as well, starting at 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2013, and continuing to approximately 3:00 p.m., Friday, November 15, 2013. East Firehouse Road in Long Creek is closed indefinitely due to a failed bridge. It will be closed between Walker Road and 70th Street in the Village of Long Creek. If you have any questions, please call the Macon County Highway Department at 424-1404.
Wyckles Road is closed to allow the contractor to complete joint work and overlay work on the bridge. The bridge is expected to be closed for four months to complete work on the structure.
