The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency will be giving you two opportunities later this month to properly discard toxic waste such as oil based paints, pesticides, gasoline, and pool chemicals.  The first event will be held on September 22^nd in Springfield and the second on September 29^th at the News-Gazette Distribution Center in Champaign.  Courtney Rushforth, Recycling Coordinator with the city of Urbana reaffirms the importance of disposing this waste properly…



Both events are scheduled to start at 8 a.m. and run through 3 p.m.  Rushforth says the earlier you plan to show up, the better because they are expecting lines to develop as the days go on.
