A routine traffic stop in Mount Zion is leading to major methamphetamine discoveries. 

38-year old Gregory Deaton was arrested when Mt. Zion Police discovered meth and manufacturing materials in his vehicle.  Contents included stolen anhydrous from near Illiopolis, 8 grams of finished product, and mixing materials. 

Deaton is being held on $100,000 bond for five meth-related possession charges and is due for arraignment September 5^th.
