A cow on the loose made for an interesting Monday night in southwestern Decatur. 

The animal led Macon County Sheriff’s deputies and Long Creek firefighters on a two-hour chase near Illinois 121, between Long Creek Fire Station and Wal-Mart. 

The scramble ended when Macon County Animal Control tranquilized the cow. No one was injured, including the animal.
