Decatur and Macon County home sales continue to rise through 2012. 

The latest numbers from the Illinois Association of REALTORS shows Macon County at 287 sales through the second quarter at the beginning of August.  That number is up from last year but still down from 2010. 

Median home price is now $91,000, up 5 percent from 2011.  Average price is also up this quarter to $112,000 from $107,000 in August of last year. 

The Association of REALTORS attributes the projected continued rise in the second half of the fiscal year to low interest rates and reasonable home prices.
