Municipal Aggregation Consultant Approved

The City of Decatur is choosing Good Energy, L.P.’s consulting services for research in municipal aggreagation.  City Manager Ryan McCrady says municipal aggregation for the city’s electric will appear in a referendum on the November ballot.

Decatur could save 30% annually on its energy costs if the community moves toward a consolidated provider.  More exploration will be made after the election should the referendum indeed pass.

Other local communities, such as Mount Zion and Forsyth, are also still considering consultations for their own potential referendums.
