A new Victoria Research poll shows Dr. David Gill with a comfortable lead over Republican Rodney Davis and Independent John Hartman.  Gill leads Davis 36 to 30 percent in the new Democratic poll, with a margin of error of 5 percent.  All candidates in the race say the only poll that matters is on Election Day.   

Meanwhile, Gill  has earned a spot on the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s (DCCC) highly competitive Red-to-Blue program. According to a campaign release, DCCC’s Red to Blue program highlights top Democratic campaigns across the country, and offers them financial, communications, grassroots, and strategic support. The program introduces Democratic supporters to new, competitive candidates in order to help expand the fundraising base for these campaigns.
