In a second quarter marred by scams and unstable gas prices, Ameren Energy saw an increase in overall numbers from this time a year ago.  This year’s second quarter numbers indicate that Ameren has seen an increase of 73 million from the second quarter numbers one year ago.  However, the increase was done on the Missouri side, with Ameren Illinois announcing an overall net loss for the quarter.  Ameren says they attribute the losses to the new gas delivery rates that went into effect in January, an increase in kilowatthour sales due to the hot weather and lower financing costs.
