Drug Sting in Bloomington Apprehends 12

12 people have been apprehended in Bloomington after the Bloomington PD, with assistance from the FBI, executed “Operation Blue Bulldog”.  The raids were the result of a two year drug operation in which 15 individuals had been associated with a crack cocaine ring.  Included in the arrests were brothers Matthew and Marcus Sullivan, the leaders of the drug trafficking organization.   Both Sullivan brothers are being charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute over 280 grams of cocaine.  If convicted, each offense carries a minimum 10 year prison sentence.  The individuals arrested are scheduled to begin appearing in federal court in Peoria on Thursday.
