As the drought continues the Illinois Department of Agriculture and Federal Government have been discussing opening up some additional land so farmers can feed their animals…



Acting Director of the Department of Agriculture Bob Flider says the way things are going; many farmers are selling off their livestock because they can’t afford to feed them.  And while that is good news in the short term in regards to meat prices, it will have a negative effect in the long run when those same farmers start to rebuild their numbers.
