Five weeks away from the start of the college football season, Memorial Stadium at the University of Illinois will be getting new field turf. The replacement project is already underway for the stadium turf and practice facility. University officials say the project will be completed in plenty of time for Illinois’ opening game against Western Michigan on September 1st.
