The Illinois Supreme Court has chosen a replacement for the 6^th Judicial Circuit Judge position that was previously held by John Shonkwiler.  William Hugh Finson has been appointed and will begin his term on September 4^th, 2012 and will end his term on December 1, 2014.  The Sixth Judicial Circuit covers 6 counties in central Illinois; Champaign, DeWitt, Douglas, Macon, Moultrie, and Piatt.  Shonkwiler held the position for 18 and ½ years until his retirement in May and subsequent death earlier this month.
