In an effort to boost the state’s overall health, both physically and economically, Lieutenant Governor Sheila Simon announced yesterday that 41 farmers markets throughout the state will be receiving wireless card readers. The wireless EBT readers will give people with LINK cards a chance to purchase fresh produce while also putting money into the local economy…
Simon also says that due to popular demand, additional applications will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Through the end of the year a total of 99 farmers markets statewide will have the wireless card readers.
