Illinois Lottery Sees Record Breaking Year



The Illinois Lottery has seen an increased player usage of 17.9% over the last 12 months, resulting in $2.67 billion in ticket sales.  The Lottery transferred a record $708.6 million to good causes that include over $600 million to the Common School Fund and $68 million to the Capital Projects Fund for roads, bridges and other capital projects.  Mike Lang, a spokesperson with the Illinois Lotto says the introduction of the internet to the Lottery was critical in their record breaking year…



Lang also says the sales from special instant games were used to fund projects like the fight against breast cancer and Illinois veterans’ assistance.
