Olsen goes on to say that they believe this hurts all customers in the Ameren territory. The controversial issue has garnered a split vote in central Illinois.
State Senator Bill Brady has recently come under fire more than once. He is currently embattled in a lawsuit, along with his three brothers, that accuses them of defaulting on multiple loans totaling over $2 million. If the proposition passes through the General Assembly, the building of an alternative energy plant will begin in Chicago. Many people in central and downstate Illinois are against the plant because it offers next to nothing in revenue and jobs to central Illinois, but it will raise energy bills.
