A man awaiting trial for allegedly abusing his wife was arrested on Monday for soliciting a hit man in order to have her murdered.  Steven W. Gensler was recorded offering a cellmate $250 to kill his wife and $500 to kill the man he thought she was currently seeing. The audio was obtained by the Macon County Sheriff’s Office after the cellmate told them about the murder for hire offer.  Ginsler appeared in Macon County Circuit Court on Tuesday and was given an additional $1 million bond.  These new charges will be in addition to the domestic battery and criminal charges he was previously charged with.
