The Decatur police made an arrest early yesterday afternoon regarding the double murder of Freedom and Central Cunningham that happened in early April.  28 year old Demarta L. Cunningham was found by police officers while they were working an unrelated robbery.  Freedom and Central Cunningham were both found shot to death in the 1200 block of North Clinton Street on April 7^th.  Decatur Chief of Police Todd Walker on the arrest…



In addition to the first degree murder charge, Cunningham is also being charged with Felony Mob Action.  Walker says there are still suspects at large related to this crime and the Decatur police are encouraging anyone with any additional information on this crime to contact Crime Stoppers 423-TIPS or contact Detectives at the Decatur Police Department.
