The performing arts department of the Decatur Park District is just one of the many public entities feeling the pinch on government lending, recently losing all of their funding.  But they refuse to let that get them down by hosting a variety of free concerts throughout the summer that also double as fundraising events.  Cultural Arts Manager at the Decatur Park district Marie Jagger-Taylor says this concert is a perfect way to raise money while also showcasing the talent…



She also says events like these are extra special because the younger kids in the program get to watch the people they look up to most perform on a big stage in front of a huge audience.
