Ameren Energy, along with the Illinois Commerce Commission has officially released projected numbers for consumer’s bills if the Leucadia plant gets built in Chicago.  The numbers indicate that those who fear that their energy bills will increase… their concerns have been justified…



That was Mark Biel, the Executive director of the Chemical Industry Council of Illinois.  He also points out that Leucadia’s argument that consumer’s energy bills will raise because the price of natural gas is going up is not a valid argument anymore because of the recent shale discoveries, including one in Canada.
