According to the U.S. drought monitor all of Illinois is now in a severe to moderate drought.  Decatur City Manager Ryan McCrady says the city has a plan in place and a drought task force has been reestablished…



He also says that the water level in Lake Decatur remains surprisingly high given the lack of rain this year.  And as of right now they aren’t too worried about the possibility of a severe water shortage as long as people are smart with their water usage.
