The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is reporting low water levels throughout the state and Lake Decatur is not immune. Water Services Manager Randy Miller says that levels are lower than usual, but it’s not time to panic yet…
Miller also says that it is important to keep track of your water usage and to conserve as much water as you can, so refrain from activities like watering your grass or excessively washing your car. If the lake continues to drop you can expect to see some water conservation notices coming from his Water Management office.
