Independence Day plans are not receiving a dampening on celebrations – literally or figuratively.  Hot temperatures and dryness are expected to continue through July 4^th (Wednesday), leaving some Central Illinois municipalities worried about brush fires created from setting off fireworks.  Rumors circulating on social networks alleged that Decatur’s fireworks would be cancelled, but the Decatur Park District says the show will go on as planned.  In fact, no local fireworks shows have been cancelled or altered due to the weather.
