In the aftermath of Thursday’s U.S. Supreme Court ruling in favor of the Affordable Care Act, local hospitals are reacting to the decision.

Smithmier projects by the full implementation of the Act in 2019, DMH will be receiving $10 million fewer a year in Medicare funding.  Projections for St. Mary’s, including newly insured patients, ranges between 5 to 6 million dollars fewer.
