The US Government is trying to make HIV tests more readily available by allowing you to purchase a test at a drug store and take it at home. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention are saying that the test is just as accurate as the ones you will take in a doctor office. Health officials estimate that 1.1 million Americans are infected with HIV, but as many as 20% of them don’t know they carry the virus.
