As pension talks continue, Illinois lawmakers are still not able to come to an agreement on how to fix the issue.  House speaker Mike Madigan and Gov. Quinn both want to solve the problem by pushing the costs to downstate schools.  Republican House leader Tom Cross says doing that would put an unfair burden on the schools affected…



Cross also says that while the Speaker and the Governor make it seem like Chicago bears most of the responsibility in terms of funding pensions, they are conveniently leaving out some facts and figures.
