The Illinois Supreme Court has formed a committee to pick a replacement for Judge John Shonkwiler of the Sixth Judicial Circuit.  Shonkwiler is retiring July 31, and nine attorneys are being considered to replace him.  The attorneys are: Timothy Tighe of Decatur; Debra Seaton of South Holland; Shig Yasunaga of Champaign; and David Cox, William Finson, John Foltz, Dana Rhoades, Roger Simpson and Gary Webber, all of Monticello.  Shonkwiler has been chief judge since 1994 in the district that includes Piatt, Champaign, Macon, Douglas, Moultrie and DeWitt counties.
