Former Penn State University assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky is headed to jail after being convicted of 45 of 48 sexual abuse counts. Bail was immediately revoked Friday night as Sandusky was found guilty of at least one charge for all 10 victims that testified.
Authorities led the former coach to the back of a police car as onlookers demanded justice. Many of the victims witnessed the bittersweet conviction. Victim #6 remained in the courthous for over an hour, unable to speak and overcome with emotion.
Sandusky could still face federal charges and other convictions in Texas and elsewhere. Sentencing will come later and will likely be essentially a life sentence.
