Illinois State Board of Education Taking Control of Two State Districts
The Illinois State Board of Education is preparing to do something it’s never done before… twice. They have voted to oust two public school boards, one in North Chicago and the other in East St. Louis for overall poor performance. Chico says the state has been working directly with these two districts for more than a year. The decision was made after a two day meeting in which only one board member from North Chicago appeared.
