West Nile Found in Champaign Bird



State officials say the first bird found to be infected by West Nile in central Illinois this year was discovered last week in Champaign.  Jeff Blackford with the Champaign-Urbana Public Health District says a crow found dead on June 12th tested positive for the virus. The Illinois Department of Public Health says West Nile has also been found this year in a bird in Cook and mosquitoes in DuPage county.
