Tate & Lyle Player's Championship Participants visit Boys & Girls Club

Some Decatur young people are getting excited about golf after a special visit from professionals.  The Symetra Tour’s Outside the Ropes program held a mini clinic at the Boys & Girls Club of Decatur on Thursday, allowing many kids to swing a club for the first time.  Boys & Girls Club Director Bruce Jeffery says the visit means a lot to the children…



A large inflatable “Golfzilla” became the target of the kids.  Three rookies on the tour, Mary Narzisi, Calle Neilson, and Rebecca Durham, all participated in the program designed at growing youth interest in the sport.
 

Pros and kids alike are enjoying the experience of the golf clinic.  Rebecca Durham has played across the world, from her home in Georgia to her college home in California to the European circuit, and she says she’s enjoying and learning just as much as the kids she meets.
