Multiple Cars Crash Into Structures Over Weekend

Decatur drivers just couldn’t seem to stay out of the wall over the weekend.  Two separate car crashes involving a pool party and a church left vehicles and buildings combined.

The first occurred Saturday afternoon on South Esther Avenue in Long Creek when a car went through the side of a garage while a pool party watched from the backyard.  The second happened at around 9pm Saturday when the driver rammed the Rock Springs Church of God on W. St. Louis Bridge Road.

Neither driver suffered serious injury but both were ticketed; the first driver had no valid license or insurance and had an open alcohol container underage while the second was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.  Significant repairs are needed in both locations.
